Cookies
This page explains what cookies and similar storage are, what this Melbourne practice uses on listenervertexgrid.digital, and how you can accept or refuse optional storage. It should be read with our privacy notice.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text records a site asks your browser to keep. Related storage, such as localStorage, stays on the device and is not automatically sent with every request. Both can remember a choice, a session, or — on some sites — a measurement of visits.
What this site uses
The site is a static publication. Pages work if you refuse optional cookies. A banner on the first visit offers Accept and Reject with equal clarity. Your choice is stored locally under a brand-prefixed key so the banner does not nag on the next page. Rejecting does not block the analysis pages, the journal, or the contact form.
We do not currently load a third-party analytics script. If that ever changes, we will update this table and only run optional measurement after Accept.
Table
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Provider |
|---|---|---|---|
| lvg_cookie_choice | Records whether you accepted or rejected optional cookies, so the banner can stay dismissed | Until you clear site data for this domain | Listener Vertex Grid (localStorage on your device) |
| Essential hosting cookies (if any) | May be set by the organisation that serves the files, to deliver the page securely | Session or as set by the host | The host that publishes this site |
No advertising cookies are set by this practice.
Essential versus optional
The consent record is used to honour your choice. It is not used to follow you across other websites. Optional analytics cookies are not active on this edition. If they are introduced, they will be optional, named in this table, and silent unless you Accept.
Third-party cookies
Embedded type from Google Fonts may cause Google to see a request for font files when a page loads. That request is for type, not for a Listener Vertex Grid advertising profile. We do not embed third-party video or share buttons on these pages.
How to manage or disable
Use Accept or Reject on the banner. You can also clear stored data for listenervertexgrid.digital in your browser settings, which forgets the choice and shows the banner again. Browser controls can block cookies entirely; the publication will still read, though the banner may reappear if storage is blocked, and we will show an inline note if the choice cannot be saved.
Impact of disabling
Refusing optional cookies does not hide rates, reports of our work, or the contact form. You may see the banner again after clearing storage. If we later add optional measurement, refusing it means we will not use those records to count your visits.
